+How can I place an order?

+How long will it take to make my order?
All treats are Made-To-Order and need time to be created. Please place your order well in advance, at least 3 weeks, to ensure timely delivery along with securing a spot on my calendar. All orders will be completed as close to your needed by date and/or event date as possible, unless you choose differently. I ship all orders out according to your event date, not purchase date, so please make sure to include this information when completing your order.
Once your order is placed, I will send a confirmation email, along with an invoice, to ensure that I have all of the information needed to complete your order to your utmost satisfaction. Please check your "spam mail" as unfamiliar emails are sometimes filtered into that mailbox.
+Can I include a gift message with my order?
Yes! If your package is going to be a gift, please be sure to let me know so that I may include a gift card on your behalf, to the recipient.
+When will my order ship?
All orders are sent out on Mondays - Wednesdays to ensure that your treats arrive fresh and do not sit in the post office over the weekend.
Please make sure to double check all shipping information before completing your purchase. XOXO Chocolates will not be held responsible for incorrect or undeliverable addresses.
+How will my order be shipped?
All orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail (1-3 days), which unfortunately is NOT guaranteed. However, I have found that 98% of the time, they arrive within the given frame.
USPS Priority Express Mail (1-2 days) is guaranteed but will be an additional charge. Please send me a note to find out shipping rates to your location.
I currently ship to all 50 states as well as Canada. Please be advised that it takes approximately 5 business days for packages to arrive in Canada, so please plan accordingly.
+How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Orders typically arrive within 1-3 days of shipping.
Once your package has been shipped, you will receive an email containing your tracking information along with proper care/storage for your delicious treats.
+Can I pick up my order in person?
For those of you located in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area that prefer to pick up your order, no problem! As long as a mutual delivery date and time can be met, you are more than welcome to come to my house to pick up your treats. Or if preferred, I will hand deliver your treats for a $5 delivery charge, if you live in Rockville, Potomac, Bethesda, Gaithersburg or Germantown.
+What can I do if my order arrives damaged?
All treats created by XOXO Chocolates are handmade and extremely fragile. I take every precaution to ensure your package is well padded, protected and clearly labeled as fragile / perishable in an effort to alert the postal service that they are handling precious goods. Unfortunately, even with these extreme measures taken, damage may occasionally occur during transit.
Once an order leaves my hands, I cannot guarantee the care it will receive. For this reason, XOXO Chocolates does NOT offer refunds on any orders that are delayed, melted or damaged / broken due to mishandling by the postal service. I also cannot offer refunds on items that are delayed due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstance.
If a package is lost or arrives damaged, please let me know and I can assist you in filing a claim with USPS.
+Do you charge sales tax?
Applicable Sales Tax (6%) will be added to those orders being picked up, delivered or shipped within MD.
+What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept Venmo, PayPal, cash or check. All payments must be received BEFORE any treats will be made OR delivered.
+What is your return/exchange policy?
All items in my shop are made-to-order and created specifically for your event. Due to this reason, along with health and safety concerns, I do not accept any returns or exchanges. But please feel free to contact me if there are any problems/issues with your order.
+What is your cancelation policy?
Should you need to cancel your order, please notify me ASAP. Orders cannot be cancelled within 72 hours of the given shipping date (not estimated delivery date) or once an order has been shipped.
+If I need my order ASAP, how quickly can I get it?
A “Rush Order” is when items need to be shipped/completed within 7 days or less from the order date. A $5 Rush Order Fee will be added to all orders that fall within this time frame.
+What types of flavors do you offer?
I am currently able to offer the following flavors: Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate, English Toffee, Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter.
+Do you offer any bulk discounts?
My treats are reasonably priced based mostly on weight and complexity/detail of the items. All treats are handmade by me personally.
With regard to volume discounts, if you are purchasing a quantity of 100-199 of the same exact item, I will gladly provide a 10% discount. For quantities of 200-299, a discount of 15%. If you have a discount code for a local discount card that I participate in, please provide that information during the ordering process.
+How can I care for my treats?
Treats should be consumed within 4-5 weeks of arrival, with the exception of pretzels, which should be eaten within 3-4 weeks (as the exposed stick will eventually become stale). Store all treats at room temperature and away from any heat source (vents, direct sunlight, etc). Treats should not be placed in the fridge or freezer, unless they arrive or become a bit soft. In this case, you can place them in the fridge for a few minutes (~10 minutes)
+Are your treats allergy safe?
Oreo® Cookies: Contain Wheat and Soy
Pretzels: Contain Wheat
Vanilla & Chocolate Candy Coatings: Contain Dairy and Soy.
Peanut Butter Candy Coating: Contain Peanuts, Dairy and Soy.
+Are your treats kosher?
All Chocolate Used is Kosher but the kitchen in which all treats are created, is not.
+Are your treats gluten free?
Gluten Free Chocolate Vanilla Creme Cookies are available.
Gluten Free Mini Pretzel Sticks and Mini Pretzels are available.
All Lollipops are Gluten Free.

If at any point during the purchasing process you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to send me an email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
